Building Specialty Services Overview

Our Building Specialty Services (BSS) group is one of the fastest growing service offerings at our organization that includes a diverse mix of professionals with practical design, field, and industry research and product development expertise. This group is able to seek the best projects with the best clients because they deliver tools that empower designers to create high performing buildings without compromising budget or function.




  • Assist writing proposals and establishing financial budgets
  • Perform project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and document discussions
  • Review and report on project mock-ups
  • Perform periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items
  • Perform field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)
  • Assist in small project management and coordination
  • Participate in continuing education
  • Periodic out of state travel
  • Perform various office related tasks




  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Pursuing registration either as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is a plus.
  • General knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plus.
  • Experience as a Building Envelope Consultant and/or Trade Expert is a plus.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service commitment.
  • Excellent communication and written skills in English.
  • Professional attitude with a strong commitment to succeed
  • Strong work ethic.
