Morrison Hershfield's goal is to ensure the development of safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure to serve residential, commercial, industrial and institutional developments.  From concept development through to operations and management, we provide a full range of municipal engineering services. Systems that handle traffic, storm water, potable water and wastewater, as well as those that transmit power and communications are designed with quality, safety, efficiency, and environment stewardship with future demands in mind.  Our comprehensive land surveying and geomatics, as well as landscape architecture services, give clients access to fully integrated engineering solutions.  We are currently seeking a CAD Designer to complement our innovative Infrastructure team in our Edmonton office.

  • Produce and communicate design data for use by the infrastructure services
  • Produce CAD and GIS files in a timely and accurate fashion
  • This position may also include duties involving artwork and other graphical elements as needed
  • Work independently as well as part of a professional team
  • May include field visits and site reviews related to design


  • A certificate or diploma from a 2 year college program (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years experience producing technical drawings
  • Experience in Civil 3D and GIS mapping software such as ArcGIS
  • Experience working on transportation and municipal projects
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Microstation an asset
