We are currently seeking a Structural CAD/BIM drafter and designer to complement our skilled team in either the Calgary or Vancouver office. This position will be a shared resources for both offices' structural departments.

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform production drafting and design in the Revit environment
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Interact on project standards coordination with clients
  • Maintain CAD/BIM document archive and retrieval for projects
  • Prepare drawing packages for submission to clients
  • QA/QC of own work
  • Provide CAD/BIM support to staff designers
  • Coordinate the CAD/BIM portion of project deliverables

 

Qualifications

 

  • Technical diploma from an accredited college
  • 3+ years of CAD/BIM drafting or design experience with building type projects, specifically from a structural perspective
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in Revit.  Experience in AutoCAD is also a benefit
  • Structural drafting or design experience is desired.  Architectural drafting experience is a benefit but not required
  • Ability to be detailed oriented, function in a multi-task environment and be able to follow complex instructions
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
