Our Building Performance Analysis group delivers cutting edge, state of the art projects to clients in a variety of industries who are looking to take their energy performance to the next level.


We are currently looking for a Building Energy Consultant to join our Building Performance Analysis group in one of four locations: Vancouver, BC; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; or Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate will join our growing group of simulation consultants and be involved in a wide range of projects varying from industry leading research to commercial, institutional, and multi-unit residential projects.

Supporting the National Building Performance Analysis group, the candidate will:


From a project delivery:

  • Coordinate building performance projects for efficient and timely delivery
  • Perform whole building energy modeling, daylighting analysis, thermal comfort and ventilation analysis, measurement and verification projects or provide technical oversight as appropriate
  • Apply engineering judgement to resolve mechanical/energy related problems
  • Liaise with our clients and/or other disciplines or departments


In general and/or outside projects:

  • Support local and national business development initiatives as required
  • Actively participate in the MH LEED assessment team as a mechanical/energy reviewer
  • Assist in developing company wide tools and resources



  • 4 or more years of experience in a similar role; responsibilities commensurate with experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; Master's Degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
  • Eligibility for registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) will be considered an asset
  • LEED GA designation required, LEED AP preferred
  • Considerable knowledge of energy efficient building design, extensive simulation software experience, energy management and incentive programs, HVAC and lighting systems as well as an understanding of building envelope.
  • Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE standards as well as a broad range of energy modeling applications (EnergyPlus preferred or extensive experience in other platforms and willing to learn EnergyPlus).
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Self-motivated and multi-tasker, excellent time management skills, excellent communication skills (written, oral), exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Strong consensus building skills and team approach
