Your extensive experience in planning, and design of major roadways will contribute to the team of engineers and technologists in the implementation of complex projects.
This position includes the responsibility to supervise employees engaged in transportation engineering.

| Responsibilities: |
Prepares straightforward plans, designs, calculations, analyses in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings and other specifications. Conducts tests, gathers and analyzes information. Interprets results using relevant software applications. Prepares engineering documents, schedules or reports, as assigned. Interprets and analyzes field inspection data to evaluate and make recommendations on technical problem solutions. Conducts technical field review of construction projects, interpreting design specifications to ensure construction is in compliance. Evaluates construction practices, calculating compliance with the contract and code specifications. Prepares contract specifications by writing design specifications.

| Qualifications: |
- P.Eng. designation
- 10+ years experience in the transportation and municipal design engineering field preferably with local experience in the consulting industry
- Experience in the detailed design and construction of MTO highways will be an asset
- Experience in the design of municipal projects
- Experience with AutoCAD and highway design software (e.g. InRoads) will be an asset
- Excellent communication skills with experience in public consultation and dealing directly with design teams and clients
- Experience with business development and proposal preparation is preferred
